Columbia Basin Water Monitoring

2007 Began with 4 watershed groups; Salmo Watershed Streamkeepers, Slocan River Streamkeepers, Mark Creek Recovery (Kimberley) and Mainstreams (Joseph Creek, Cranbrook)
2008 4 watershed groups were added; Golden Wildsight (Upper Columbia), Lake Windermere Project (Invermere), Friends of the Lardeau River and Arrow Lakes Stewardship (Burton)
2009 Mark Creek Recovery opted out and St. Mary Rural Resident’s Association opted in

Goals of the project:
1.  Adopt a monitoring system that is scientifically viable and can be put in place by non-scientists
2.  Establish a system of storing and sharing local watershed monitoring data through web technology
