Joseph Creek Streamkeepers

Joseph Creek Streamkeepers is a group of citizens interested in the health of the Joseph Creek Watershed.

Regular activities include:
– Litter clean up in May as part of Cranbrook’s Pitch-Inlswilson
– Fall and Spring Stream Walks visiting a different section of Joseph Creek each time
– Riparian planting in spring so the plants get established before the hot, dry summer
– Monitoring water quality using Environment Canada’s CABIN protocols
– Streamkeeper training was held in the fall 2011
